On August 19, 2005, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts sent a news release warning the public about calls from people claiming to be from the federal courts which could result in fraud. Read the release here. Federal courts do not require anyone to provide any sensitive information in a telephone call. Persons in Vermont receiving such a telephone call should not provide the requested information, and should notify the Clerk of Court's office of the U.S. District Court at 802-951-6301.
